IncursioN & Raid guides

Conflict is the dedicated, structured Player vs. Player (PvP) mode. Unlike the Dark Zone—where you might get stabbed in the back while extracting loot, Conflict is a "fair fight" (mostly) that takes place in localized, instanced maps outside of the open world.

We are currently recruitung PvP players to be more competitive in the PvP section of the game. Contact us if you want to be a part of the squad!

  • Operation Dark Hours is the game´s first ever 8 player raid. Its a high intensity endgame mission that takes place at Washington National Airport (Ronald Reagan National Airport).

Unlike standard missions, this raid requires a high level of coordination, specific builds and communication to succeed.

  • The Black Tusk have taken over the airport to establish a supply line and a base of operations. Your team´s job is to infiltrate the facility, dismantle their leadership and regain control of the strategic location.

  • In Operation Dark Hours, the encounters are split into four primary boss fights. Each one serves as a "mechanical gate"—you can’t just out-damage them; you have to solve the puzzle of the fight.

  • Boomer is completely immune to damage until you disable his tech.

The Aggro: One player gets a "Red Eye" icon. Boomer will chase only them. That player must kite him in circles past the fixed miniguns.

The Kneel: The minigunner shoots Boomer's backpack until he takes a knee. When he kneels, everyone dumps damage into his head.

The Laptops: When "Defense Systems" go online (blue nodes), four players must interact with the laptops in the center area simultaneously to shut them down.

The Chest Piece: If a green light glows on his chest, shoot it immediately or he will heal all the damage you just did.

  • This fight happens in a gas-filled hangar.

The Split: Split into two teams of four. You are separated by a plane.

The Gas: The room cycles through colors. Purple gas weakens you; Orange gas allows you to do massive damage. Wait for Orange to "burst" the bosses.

The Kill: You must kill Dizzy and Ricochet at the same time. If one dies significantly before the other, the survivor gains a massive buff and will likely wipe the team.

The Finale: Once the twins are dead, the hangar opens. Group up and burn down Weasel (the third boss) as fast as possible.

  • These are two massive Black Tusk Warhounds.

The Health Bar: This is the "Balance" fight. You must keep their health bars roughly equal. If one's health drops too far below the other (outside the white brackets), they trigger a team-wipe explosion.

Lucy (360 Spin): When Lucy says "Spinning," get behind cover. Her 360-degree turret fire will down you instantly if you are standing.

Buddy (Healer): Buddy will periodically try to heal both of them. Use high DPS to override his healing pulses.

  • The final boss is a giant mobile missile battery.

Charge the Circles: One player stands in each of the four SAM circles. They must reach 100% at the same time.

Vents and Grenades: Once charged, shoot the vents on the front and back of the Razorback. Once open, toss a standard grenade into the vent.

The Tower: A tower rises. Shoot the two "wing" panels (electronics), then focus all damage on the main battery at the top.

The Heavies: Throughout the fight, "Chunguses" (Heavies) will run toward the SAM laptops. Kill them immediately. If they touch the laptop, it's an automatic mission failure.

  • The Crown Jewel: Eagle Bearer (Exotic Assault Rifle)

This is widely considered one of the most iconic weapons in the game.

The Talent (Eagle's Strike): Accuracy increases as you fire (up to 100%). Headshot kills grant the Tenacity buff, which delays 40%–80% of incoming damage until the buff expires. If you kill the enemy before it ends, that delayed damage is ignored.

    How to get it:

10% Drop Chance: From the final reward chest at the end of the raid (requires 5 Raid Keys).

1% Drop Chance: Each of the four bosses has a 1% chance to drop it directly upon death.

  • Backpack Trophies:

Jet Plane: Awarded for defeating all four bosses in the raid.

Riot Gas Canister: Hidden in the hangar after the second boss (Weasel). You must climb across the plane's wings to find it.

    Arm Patches:

Unique patches are awarded for completing the raid for the first time, as well as for specific commendations like speed-runs or "flawless" clears.

    Commendations:

Normal Difficulty Clear: Just for finishing the raid.

Flawless Dark Hours: Awarded for completing the entire raid without a single team member being fully downed or killed. This unlocks a highly prestigious patch.

  • You must be Level 40 (or Level 30 if you dont own the Warlords of New York expansion).

Difficulty is set to “Normal” at default (Which is quite hard), but there is a “Discovery” mode if you want to learn the mechanics without the brutal difficulty.

  • You can “Matchmake” for Dark Hours, but it is not a recommended way to go about it as you need to have alot of communication with your team throughout this encounter.

We have a team ready for you if you want to test your skills in this Raid. Sign up with Scruff Necks today and take part of the scheduled raid calendar in our discord server.

  • Operation Iron Horse is the second 8-player raid in The Division 2. Set in the United Ironworks foundry, it is significantly more mechanical than the first raid (Dark Hours). You aren't just shooting targets; you are managing heat levels, reading codes, and operating heavy machinery.

  • The True Sons have seized a massive steel foundry to manufacture a railway cannon called the "Earthshaker." Your objective is to infiltrate the facility, sabotage the production line, and destroy the cannon and its commander, Colonel Morozova.

  • The raid is broken down into four major boss fights, each with unique mechanics and puzzles. Deep communication and coordination is needed for every encounter.

  • The Mechanic: Gray spawns with three shielded guards. He is virtually immune to damage while they are alive.

The Strategy: Focus fire on the shield guards first.

Blue Glow: Watch Gray’s backpack. If it glows blue, shoot it immediately; if you don't, he will grant his entire team a massive bonus armor bar and heal them.

The Trick: Try to "stagger" the deaths of the shield guards to keep Gray vulnerable for longer.

  • The Setup: One player (usually a Healer/Tank) stays in the Control Room upstairs to read codes. The rest are on the ground.

The Codes: The person in the Control Room calls out icons (e.g., "Wash," "Coffee," "Fire") seen on monitors. The ground team must find and shoot the matching Red Junction Boxes to move a giant crucible of molten steel.

The Wipe: A buzzer will sound, and the room will start to overheat. A ground player must grab an RPG from a dead "Chungus" and shoot the cannon inside the forge to prevent a team wipe.

The Kill: Once the crucible is full (100%), it must be poured onto the cannon. Only then can you damage Fieser directly.

  • The Arena: A circular room divided into three color-coded sections: Blue (Steam), Yellow (Electricity), and Red (Fire).

The Diagnostics: You must interact with yellow boxes around the room to perform "diagnostics" while fighting off waves of snipers and ads.

The Slag: Williams will eventually use a "foam" attack that freezes players in place. You must shoot the foam off your teammates.

The Kill: After the diagnostic phases, the center furnace opens. Focus all DPS on Williams, but be ready to interact with the emergency shutdown panels if the pressure gets too high.

  • The Train: You aren't just fighting Morozova; you’re fighting the armored train. It has turrets and a massive railgun.

The RPGs: "Rocket NPCs" will spawn. Kill them and use their RPGs to shoot the red circular weak points on the train's turrets.

Tunnel Phase: When the siren blares, the entire team must huddle in the center "trench" under a healer's hive to survive a massive mortar barrage.

The Final Shot: After Morozova is defeated, the train will attempt one last "Wipe Shot." You must have one RPG saved to shoot the main cannon one final time to finish the raid.

  • The Ravenous (Exotic Rifle): A unique double-barrel rifle.

The Mechanic: It uses a "Binary Trigger." Pulling the trigger fires from the right shoulder (offensive primers); releasing it fires from the left (defensive primers). Hitting the opposite primer detonates the charges for massive damage or bonus armor.

How to get it: 10% drop chance from the final reward chest or a 1% drop chance from any of the four bosses.

The Regulus (Exotic Pistol): A massive revolver that creates headshot explosions.

The Mechanic: Headshot kills deal 400% weapon damage in a 5m radius and apply Bleed to all enemies hit.

How to get it: This is not a random drop. You must complete a multi-week crafting project that unlocks after your first successful clear. It requires donating specific gear and collecting parts from each boss.

  • In addition to the high-tier exotics, Operation Iron Horse contains a massive library of "status symbol" items that show off your mastery of the raid.

    Backpack Trophies:

There are 5 unique trophies hidden throughout the foundry. Unlike boss loot, these are physical items you must find and "pick up" during the raid.

Breakthrough: Found after Boss 1 (Gray). Look for a blue shipping container on the right before entering the forge; the trophy is inside.

Molten: Found after Boss 2 (Fieser). Located in a bucket near a prison bed in the hallway leading away from the forge.

High Ground: A secret trophy found before Boss 3 (Williams). In the circular diagnostic room, you must shoot several red hexagonal cogs on the walls to unlock a pale blue tool chest containing the trophy.

Iron Horse: Found after the final boss (Morozova). Once the massive train cannon explodes and its barrel drops, walk into the mouth of the barrel to find the trophy.

Old Guard: Awarded automatically to your inventory upon your very first completion of the raid on Normal difficulty.

The raid has 11 specific commendations. Completing each one grants a unique Arm Patch, and finishing all 11 unlocks the Agent on Duty Distinction.

    Boss-Specific Commendations (Normal Difficulty Only):

Nutcracker Merit (Gray): Let Gray reach a full blue "Ironclad" bonus armor bar before killing him.

Hot Foot Merit (Fieser): Defeat Fieser only after all four metal molds in the corners of the forge have been filled with molten iron.

Hex Machina Merit (Williams): Destroy all of Williams' mounted turrets before fixing the steam pipes, then kill him.

Unfriendly Fire Merit (Morozova): Kill a Heavy (Chungus) using the train's own autocannon.

    General Commendations:

Gourmand Merit: Find and shoot all 45 Gingerbread Men hidden throughout the raid in a single run. (This is a major team effort!)

Flawless Distinction: Complete the entire raid without a single agent being killed (fully downed/dead). This is the "ultimate" flex.

There are 10 Audio Logs to collect that flesh out the lore of why the True Sons took the foundry.

Boss Drops: 5 logs are guaranteed drops from the bosses upon their first defeat.

Hidden Logs: 5 logs are hidden as physical pickups in the environment (e.g., in the locker rooms, the bridge area, and the train yard).

  • You must be Level 40 (or Level 30 if you dont own the Warlords of New York expansion).

Difficulty is set to “Normal” at default (Which is quite hard), but there is a “Discovery” mode if you want to learn the mechanics without the brutal difficulty.

  • You can “Matchmake” for Iron Horse, but it is not a recommended way to go about it as you need to have alot of communication with your team throughout this encounter.

We have a team ready for you if you want to test your skills in this Raid. Sign up with Scruff Necks today and take part of the scheduled raid calendar in our discord server.

Conquer the Dark Zone with us!

  • This is the first and only incursion in the game. Incursions are based around a team of 4 players rather than like the raids which has teams of 8 players

While Operation Dark Hours is a test of raw DPS, the Paradise Lost Incursion is a test of survival and mechanics. It’s significantly harder than a Heroic mission and requires a tightly coordinated 4-player team.

The setting is the Meret Estate, and you’re tasked with rescuing a group of hostages from the Johnson Family (the Cleaners).coordination, specific builds and communication to succeed.

  • The primary objective of the Paradise Lost Incursion is to rescue the kidnapped hostages (specifically a group of civilians and their leader, Mackenzie Reed) from the Meret Estate, which has been seized by a radicalized splinter cell of the Cleaners led by the Johnson family.

While "saving the hostages" is the narrative goal, the gameplay objective is to survive a gauntlet of four high-intensity boss encounters that require specific mechanics to complete.

  • There are 4 main stages in the Paradise Lost Incursion.

Think of it as a four-act play where each act has its own specific "gimmick" or mechanic you have to solve to move forward. If your team wipes, you restart at the beginning of your current stage, not the very beginning of the Incursion.

  • Before you even get inside, you’re pinned down by two massive automated turrets and constant mortar fire.

The Objective: Destroy the two turrets.

The Mechanic: You cannot damage the turrets from the front. One or two players must flank to the far left or right and climb up (look for the yellow tarp or the garbage truck) to get an angle on the yellow power boxes on the back/side of the turrets.

The Danger: If you stand still for more than two seconds, a mortar will hit you. Stay mobile!

  • You enter an area with an oil tanker and a heavy boss named Moss who is surrounded by fire.

The Objective: Defeat Moss and protect the tanker.

The Mechanic: Moss is basically invulnerable while he’s "hot." You must lure him under the overhead water pipes and have a teammate interact with the Yellow Valve on the ground.

The Window: Once doused, his armor "cools," and your team has about 10–15 seconds to dump all their DPS into him.

The Tanker: Enemies with a diamond icon over their heads will ignore you and shoot the oil tanker. Kill them immediately, or the mission fails when the tanker explodes.

  • This is the most mechanical fight. Wright is a giant Heavy who is completely invincible at the start.

The Objective: Break Wright's armor and kill him.

The Mechanic (Kiting): One player must get Wright’s attention (aggro) and lead him around the room.

The Sprinklers: There are four valves in the corners of the room. One will have a glowing green light. When Wright is standing under the pipes for that specific valve, activate it.

The Phase: The water stuns him and makes him vulnerable. You must break his armor pieces (helmet, chest, etc.) during this window. If you don't do enough damage quickly enough, he triggers a map-wide fire blast that wipes the team.

  • The final showdown against Johnson (the Sniper/Medic), Martinez (the Heavy), and their massive drone, The Marauder.

The Objective: Eliminate both bosses and the drone.

The Mechanic: The bosses have heavy tech shields. You must use the two fixed miniguns on the balcony to shred their shields and the Marauder's armor.

    The Priority:

    1. The Marauder: When the giant drone flies center-stage, everyone focuses on it. If it finishes its "strafing run," you're likely dead.

    2. Johnson: Kill him first. He drops healing boxes that can undo all your hard work.

    3. Martinez: Once Johnson is dead, she will start spamming mortars. Stay in cover or keep moving until she's down.

  • The Crown Jewel: Ouroboros (Exotic SMG)

This is currently the highest burst-damage weapon in The Division 2. It is exclusive to the Paradise Lost Incursion.

The Talent (Rule Them All): When you have a status effect applied to you, 50% of the ammo in your next magazine will apply that same status effect to the enemy.

    How to get it:

10% Drop Chance: From the final Meret Estate chest (requires 3 keys, can be opened once per week per character).

1% Drop Chance: Each boss in the Incursion (Moss, Wright, and the Lovebirds) has a flat 1% chance to drop it every time you kill them. Unlike the chest, this is infinitely farmable.

  • If you’re looking to show off your completion, there are several unique vanity items:

The Wright Mask: Earned by completing the entire Incursion on a Flawless run (no one in the group can go fully down/die).

Backpack Trophy: Usually awarded for completing the Wright encounter flawlessly or via specific collectible challenges.

Unique Patches: * Wright Patch: Awarded for defeating Wright for the first time.

Lovebirds Patch: Awarded for defeating Johnson and Martinez for the first time.

Gear Dye: A unique estate-themed gear dye is often awarded upon your first successful completion.

10 Audio Logs: Five are hidden as physical pickups throughout the estate, and five are guaranteed drops from the bosses.

Artifacts: There are 3 unique artifacts (like the "Drone Kid" and the "Novel") found within the mission areas.

Cypher Fragments: You receive Meret Estate Cypher Fragments upon completion, which contribute to your overall lore collection.

  • Expansion: You must own the Warlords of New York expansion.

Level: You must have a Level 40 character.

Story: You must have finished the Warlords of New York campaign (beaten Keener).

Location: Access it via the Helicopter Pilot at the White House/Base of Operations or directly through the world map (Meret Estate, located in the Northeast).

  • You can “Matchmake” for Paradise Lost, but it is not a recommended way to go about it as you need to have alot of communication with your team throughout this encounter.

We have a team ready for you if you want to test your skills in this Incursion. Sign up with Scruff Necks today and take part of the scheduled raid and Incursion calendar in our discord server.

Descent is a rogue-lite mode where you start with nothing and see how long you can survive. It takes place in a simulation, meaning your regular armor, weapons, and level are left at the door.

The Core Loop

  • Start from Zero: You enter with a basic pistol. As you clear rooms, you pick up new weapons, skills, and "Talents" (perks).

  • Build as You Go: Every time you finish a room, you choose a power-up. You can stack these perks to become way more powerful than you ever could be in the main game.

  • Choose Your Path: You decide the difficulty of the next room. Harder rooms give better rewards but are much more likely to end your run.

  • Permadeath: If you die, the run is over. You lose your progress for that session, but you keep a special currency (NSA Tech) to buy permanent upgrades for your next attempt.

The Goal

The primary objective is to survive long enough to face the Nemesis—a boss that mimics your skills and is designed to be your ultimate "mirror match."

  • If you’re looking for the ultimate "loot piñata" in The Division 2, Countdown is exactly where you want to be. It’s a high-intensity, 15-to-20-minute cooperative game mode designed for 8 players, though it functions as two separate teams of four working toward a common goal.

  • The mission takes place at a nuclear power plant. Your goal is to prevent a reactor meltdown by securing three different industrial sectors, stabilizing the reactor, and extracting before the clock hits zero.

  • Targeted Loot: This is the biggest draw. You can select exactly which brand or weapon type you want to drop, making it the most efficient way to farm specific builds.

The Timer: You have roughly 15 minutes to complete the objectives and reach the extraction point.

Countermeasures: At the start, the map is affected by "debuffs" (like reduced hazard protection or lower damage). You can deactivate these by interacting with specific terminals, which also grants your team powerful buffs.

  • You drop in and immediately hunt down 4 Hunters. These are high-AI, lethal enemies that can use player skills against you. Killing them and collecting the Hunter Dog-Tags nets you Countdown Requisition Credits.

There are 3 containers with a interactable screen on each container, these needs to be pressed to clear the debuffs you spawn in with.

  • The map is split into different wings (Cooling Tower, Laboratory, Reactor, Turbine, Administration and Containment). You must complete two out of three randomly assigned objectives. These usually involve:

    Defending a point.

    Destroying experimental equipment.

    Eliminating a specific lieutenant.

  • Once the objectives are done, you head to the extraction zone. This is the hardest part of the run. A fresh wave of Hunters and heavily armored Black Tusk units will try to block your path. You must signal the helicopter and survive for a final minute to get out with your loot.

  • Don't Use Skills Against Hunters: Unless you are running a "Protection from Elites" build, avoid using offensive skills like Turrets or Drones near Hunters. They will hack them and turn your own gear against your teammates.

Follow the Group: With 8 players, the "death ball" strategy is most effective. Stay close to the pack to ensure fast revives and concentrated firepower.

Inventory Management: Make sure you have at least 40-50 free slots in your backpack before you start. The loot drops are fast and frequent; you won't have time to sort through them mid-match.

  • Since Countdown is an instanced, randomized mode, it doesn’t have traditional "Intel" collectibles (like phones or echoes) scattered across the power plant. Instead, the "collectibles" are effectively the SHD Caches and the Commendation Patches you earn through specific gameplay Commendations.

  • To access Countdown, you must fulfill the following:

Level 40 Cap: You must reach Level 40.

Warlords of New York (WONY): Historically, reaching Level 40 required owning the WONY expansion and completing the New York campaign (killing Aaron Keener). Even with recent updates to level caps, the mode is officially considered Level 40 content.

Complete the Main Story: You generally need to have finished the base game campaign and the subsequent New York campaign.

Subscription (Console Only): If you are on PlayStation or Xbox, you must have an active subscription (PS Plus or Xbox Game Pass) to use the matchmaking features, as Countdown is an 8-player cooperative mode.

  • You can “Matchmake” for Countdown, It doesnt neccessarily need teammates on comms.

We have a team ready for you if you want to test your skills in Countdown. Sign up with Scruff Necks today and take part of the scheduled raid and Incursion calendar in our discord server.

retaliation

Retaliation serves as an aggressive "territory control" overhaul that replaces the standard Control Point loop with a high-stakes, timed rescue mission.

If you enjoy the fast-paced, high-loot chaos of Countdown, Retaliation is essentially the open-world equivalent of that experience.

The mode is triggered by your own activity in the open world.

  1. Agitation Meter: Every faction (Hyenas, True Sons, etc.) has a meter visible in a dedicated "Retaliation" tab on the map. Killing enemies, completing missions, or taking Control Points fills this meter.

  2. The Strike: Once the meter is full, the faction "retaliates" by seizing an entire Named Zone (e.g., Downtown East or West End), flipping every Control Point in that area to enemy control instantly.

  3. The Objective: You have a limited timer (displayed on the map) to retake the entire zone. You start from a safe house and must hop from one Control Point to the next, clearing waves to extend your timer.

Core Gameplay Mechanics

  • Kill Squads: While traveling between points, you will be ambushed by "Kill Squads"—elite/named squads that drop high-tier loot and, more importantly, exclusive Exotic Blueprints.

  • Maneuvers: These are optional side objectives that appear during the event. Completing them adds precious minutes back to your countdown timer.

  • No Allies: Unlike standard open-world play, you cannot call for civilian backup (no Flare Gun). You have to rely on your own build or your squad.

  • Scaling Difficulty: The mode scales with your Global Difficulty. Farming on Heroic is the fastest way to earn the new materials.
